About the Client / My Role
Lean Bodies Fitness is a gym and coaching brand dedicated to high-performance training, personal transformation, and community discipline. More than just a client, this project became personal — I trained here, worked alongside the owners, and invested myself fully into the mission.
The brand already had a foundational logo, but it lacked a cohesive system across digital, print, apparel, and in-studio applications. I stepped in to refine the visual identity, build supporting assets, and provide hands-on creative support. From web visuals and apparel mockups to photography and studio monitor graphics, I became the go-to design partner for all things visual — and a full-fledged member of the community itself.
The Process
Logo Refinement & Brand Styling
• Enhanced the existing logo for better balance, spacing, and digital usability
• Built a brand system with color palette, typography, layout rules, and usage guidelines
• Delivered scalable assets for use across digital, print, and merchandise applications
Web Design Support
• Collaborated with a developer to support the launch of Lean Bodies’ official website
• Provided design feedback, responsive visuals, and branding continuity throughout
• Ensured the site reflected the gym’s professionalism and in-person energy
Apparel & Product Mockups
• Created t-shirt and hoodie designs featuring the refined brand
• Delivered product-ready mockups used for client approval and early-stage merchandising
• Supported team wear and member recognition through branded apparel
Studio Graphics & Mobile Displays
• Designed custom graphics for monitor displays inside the gym, featuring motivational messages, schedules, and brand visuals
• Developed mobile-format digital graphics for internal use and client engagement
Strategic Challenges & Solutions
Pre-existing logo with no defined system
→ Solution: Refined the mark and created a full visual style guide to unify all brand applications
Studio needed fast, high-quality design support across formats
→ Solution: Delivered on-call design help for web visuals, studio monitors, mobile layouts, and product requests — without sacrificing brand consistency
Client lacked professional photography for promotion
→ Solution: Shot editorial imagery that captured real people, real training, and real trust — reinforcing the authentic brand tone
Design had to reflect more than just “fitness”
→ Solution: Grounded the visual system in themes of discipline, loyalty, and transformation, not just aesthetics
Results & Impact

Conclusion / Analysis
This wasn’t just a design project — it was a season of my life. I trained at Lean Bodies. I swept the floors. I collaborated with the owner and instructors like teammates, not clients. And through that, I earned trust — not just to deliver visuals, but to help the brand evolve from the inside out.
Every asset I designed reflected what the brand stood for: discipline, consistency, and community. This project reminded me that the best work happens when you show up fully — not just as a designer, but as a believer.
