Project Overview
About the Client / My Role
Sweet Mae’s Cookie Co. is a Black-owned dessert brand rooted in Southern culture, bold flavors, and family-inspired storytelling. With a strong visual identity already in place, the company was expanding into live events, retail partnerships, and investor conversations — and needed presentation-ready materials to match.
I was brought in to build and refine visual deliverables using the brand’s existing logo, colors, and aesthetic. From pitch decks to display signage, I served as the go-to designer for any asset the company needed to grow its visibility and market presence.
For reference, I used:
• The existing brand system (logo, colors, type) as the foundation for new visual assets
• The client's live website and past materials to ensure brand alignment across all formats
The Process
Investor Pitch Deck
• Designed multiple investor pitch decks to support funding efforts
• Created an Investor Sales Sheet summarizing business model, product highlights, and key differentiators
• Ensured all decks were professional, digestible, and true to the brand’s personality

Investor Fundraising Materials
• Designed custom investor-facing Sales Sheets to support funding efforts
• Investor Sales Sheet: summarizing business model, product highlights, and key differentiators
• Ensured all decks and deliverables were professional, digestible, and true to the brand’s personality

Event & Display Design
• Developed point-of-display materials for popup booths and in-person events
• Created order insert cards, banners, and signage for customer interaction
• Prioritized readability, color integrity, and photo/packaging alignment

Visual Asset / Design Support
• Provided product imaging and light photo editing to enhance brand storytelling
• Delivered formatted files for digital, print, and promotional use
• Served as the brand’s visual production partner — converting vision into high-quality design on demand

Results & Impact
My design work directly supported Sweet Mae’s growth across multiple key milestones:
✅ Enabled funding and regional expansion
In early 2022, Sweet Mae’s secured a grant from Main Street Ventures to fund its next phase of growth — coinciding with the release of investor pitch decks and sales materials I designed.

✅ Expanded into national retail (Target)
By late 2022, Sweet Mae’s cookies were placed in over 150 Target stores across Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Packaging and sales assets I developed contributed to this rollout.
